DoSlogoDid you know a citizen of France or Brussels and other EU countries can just hop on a plane and fly here? And did you know the Paris and Brussels terrorists were EU citizens?

Great, just great.

Nearly half of all the illegal aliens now living in the United States entered the country legally through a port of entry such as an airport or a border crossing point where they were subject to inspection by immigration officials, according to new estimates from the Pew Hispanic Center.

The Department of Homeland Security estimates for VWP countries, the FY 2015 Suspected In-Country overstay rate is 0.65 percent of the 20,974,390 expected departures. That works out to about 136,000 illegal aliens but they (Homeland Security) don’t really know how accurate that number is.

The following video shows what DHS knows or doesn’t know.

We sell ’em and we buy ’em back

With all the hubbub going on about weapons some of the “little the little things get lost.

1936 – Called “the greatest battle implement ever devised” by General George S. Patton, the M-1 Garand replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the standard rifle of the United States Military. Now our soldiers could pull the trigger 8-times and send eight 30.06 bullets downrange. We sold a lot of them over the years as it wasn’t replaced until 1957.m1

Although semi-automatic, the M1 does not meet the definition of today’s assault weapon. Now, what got lost? Over the years we sold the M1 to many countries. Between 1964 and 1974 we sold or gave away to the Republic of Korea 296,450 M1 rifles. Now we are buying them back.

In 2009, the South Korean government to sell about 850,000 firearms to Americans, including 87,000 M1 rifles.  Why we were buying all these weapons is a mystery to me. Maybe it is another industry gone off-shore.

The Obama administration initially agree, but it blocked the sale in March 2010.  Let me say here, that the Obama Administration just happened to be there. Sadly, any of our administrations would most likely do the same.  A State Department spokesman said the administration’s decision was based on concerns that the guns could fall into the wrong hands and be used for criminal activity.

But someone put in a new light bulb and in January 2012, two nations agreed on sale of 87,000 M1 Garand rifles to U.S. civilian arm dealers. While they are stillKorea has a record of selling tens of thousands of M1 Garand rifles to the U.S. civilian market between 1986 to 1994.
