They just can’t stand it. It wasn’t supposed to happen. They said so. Many times. Just a flash in the pan. He won’t last two weeks, ad naseum.
From yesterdays Washington Post , July 24, 2016
• Trump is following the path of despots
• Trump just set the table for Clinton
• How Trump attacks the media, and why that distorts reality
• Dems aim to brighten Trump’s dark picture
• Trump is expanding his Muslim ban not rolling it back
• Trump defends Roger Ailes, casts suspicion on his accusers
• Praise the Lord, I’ve seen the dark
• These 2 trends . . . produced . . . a negative Republican Convention
There’s something happening here.
But what it is ain’t exactly clear. (1)
10 members of Congress took trip secretly
funded by foreign government — BY SCOTT HIGHAM, STEVEN RICH AND ALICE CRITES, Washington Post
Lawmakers and their staff members received hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of travel expenses, silk scarves, crystal tea sets and Azerbaijani rugs valued at $2,500 to $10,000, according to the ethics report. Airfare for the lawmakers and some of their spouses cost $112,899, travel invoices show.
Taking the trip the trip Jim Bridenstine (R-Okla.), Yvette D. Clarke (D-N.Y.), Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.), Rubén Hinojosa (D-Tex.), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex.), Leonard Lance (R-N.J.), Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-N.M.), Gregory W. Meeks (D-N.Y.), Ted Poe (R-Tex.) and then-Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Tex.).
They were told and believed that a non-profit was paying for the trip. Wouldn’t you be just a bit curious as to why and how a non-profit could afford such a trip that included silk scarves, crystal tea sets and Azerbaijani rugs valued at $2,500 to $10,000.
Why would a non-profit provide this to 10 members of Congress and 32 staff members? And would you believe this took place in 2013 and is just now being questioned?
The U.S.-Azerbaijan meeting took place on May 28 and 29, 2013. And strangely enough after this “meeting” the $28 billion natural gas pipeline project in the Caspian Sea became exempt from U.S. economic sanctions being imposed on Iran.
And that is a great lesson on how our government works (quid pro quo) in America.
Pity the poor fool who thinks otherwise.
